Hi R. Harvey, thanks for taking the time to read and comment. It’s a long piece and hard for even dedicated readers to catch every word, but I suspect if you read it a bit more closely you might rethink some of what you’ve written here. For example, did you see my distinction between just cause and just conduct? Did you see my acknowledgment several times that Israel may have committed some war crimes?

As for ratios, we are talking about apples and oranges. You are citing figures for individual bombings. I was citing aggregate figures for the entire war.

My hunch is that you were looking for certain words or a certain tone that to you represented the “right” form of condemnation, and when you didn’t find these things, you ignored things I wrote that you might actually agree with. Open your eyes a bit wider, my friend
