Hi there, thank you for clarifying what we we call the theory of slow genocide. I don't subscribe to that theory, but at least you've taken the time to answer the question with some degree of thought and therefore explain the anomaly.
To take this theory a step further, we would assume that Israel's leaders either (a) expected the current degree of vilification they are receiving from the world yet are OK with it, because it pales in comparison to the vilification they would get from "fast genocide" or (b) were surprised by this vilification because they were expecting the "slow genocide" approach to evoke less opposition and anger. Maybe there is a ©, but one of these must be true under the theory.
