This post is about the facticity of what happened in October 7, not why Hamas did it. I don't know if you are doing this, but people are certainly free to argue that Israel's past actions justify Hamas and other Palestinians in butchering, maiming, burning, and raping Israelis...but I'm not going to join you or others in that view. And terrorists like Hamas preceded the occupation, the settlements and even the creation of the state of Israel. At best, causality is circular.
